Good for you that Ann chose wrong - you got it Lilac. I got the soldier's name (if memory serves) from Cracked Magazine which was a copycat of Mad Magazine. They had a section where soldiers serving in Viet Nam who were looking for pen pals gave their address and you could send letters to them. I thought that was a great thing to do so I chose a soldier and wrote to him. The guy I picked out of the list loved getting mail and he wrote to me whenever he could. I eventually had to confess about my real age when he told me he was going home soon and would love to come to New York to meet me - the jig was up!!! He was nice about it since my letters gave him something to look forward to and I even sent treats from time to time. P.S. If I was going to be in a fan club for one of the Monkees, it would have been for Mikey Dolenz, I've always had a thing for drummers. Your turn to try and stump us Lilac.

1) We went over the Skyline Bridge in St Petersburg, FL yesterday.
2) I was born in Pennsylvania on April 4th, 1944 (4/4/44).
3) As a child I had scoliosis & was in a back brace for 6 of my first 8 years.

Nice pictures, Penny!
1. My husband & I have lived in 2 houses, our first house was a bungalow and the one we live in now is a back-split. 2. When I get shiny coins for change, I like to keep them as long as possible, before spending them. 3. I enjoy wearing sandals in the summertime.

You got it, Foxy!
I'm sure you probably do the same thing. You get rid of the older, dirtier looking coins first and sometimes even want to hold onto a coin that you think is special. That is what I do.

^ Funny, I actually thought Lilac had it, but I thought shiny new coins are nicer to hang onto than old ones (unless those old ones are valuable.)
1. I live in a predominantly Orthodox Jewish neighborhood and there are 4 Synagogues within walking distance from my house.
2. I have always been a fan of William Shatner (Star Trek, Boston Legal etc) and relate to him because we share a common problem - Tinnitus.
3. I sunburn easily and get headaches from strong sunlight so I only go to the beach at the end of the day when everyone else is going home.

It's got to be #2, since I knew that about William Shatner and I too have Tinnitus.

^ I am sorry about your son, Penny and for never having a sister.
1. I have a niece that looks like a young Anne Hathaway. 2. I wear something red every Friday. 3. Cream filled donuts are the hardest dessert for me to give up when I'm dieting.

You got it right Foxy. It's uncanny how much my niece resembles Anne Hathaway.

^ I actually chose that one because I thought that would be a fun factoid if true. 1. I have a collection of small rocks, and either a shell or colored glass I found on the beach, from every place I have ever traveled to since I was a young child. 2. A waiter once spilled hot soup on me and offered to comp my meal out of his own pocket if I didn't complain to his boss because he really needed his job. He was so visibly upset I felt sorry for the poor guy. I didn't tell and I paid for the meal. 3. My boyfriend once planted my favorite flowers and when they bloomed, he cut them and over-nighted them to me as a surprise.
