Card Prediction
This video which was featured at Yahoo was so stupid I had to post it.
This trick was done by David Copperfield on a T.V. appearance, but David Copperfield did not tell the viewers where to start.
I figured out how it was done after seeing the David Copperfield show and have used it for years as part of card tricks after I have determined which card has been chosen by my mark or audience.
The answer follows so you can use it as well if you can't figure it out on your own.
After dealing with liberals I'm used to solving even more deceptive billion dollars under the cup type games.

The player is asked to start in the corner, they could just as easily be asked to start in any corner or the center.
These are the five cards that most people would choose naturally because our brains are programmed to favor a triangle over a circle or square.
It's part of the facial recognition skill that we have.
Two eyes a nose and a mouth.
Anyway. Consider these locations Set One and the remaining four cards on the side as Set Two.
Each time you make a move horizontally or vertically you move from one set to another.
You cannot move within a set because you are not allowed to move diagonally.
An odd number of moves ends up on the other set from where you began. An even number of moves puts you either on the same card or a different card within the same set.
Knowing this allows you to do the trick several times using a different combination of moves as long as you keep track of which set your mark is on and which set you want to move them to.
Knowing your mark is on Set One means you can remove any card in Set Two because your mark will not be on any of the cards in Set Two.
As you remove cards you limit where your mark can move and you can herd them to any card of your choosing.
So in a card trick, if you know where the mark's card is, you can now place the cards face down and use this routine to guide the mark to their card. Magic!
Another trick is to ask your mark to pick one card or group of cards from another.
Since you know where their card is, you can decide what to do with the group or card that they choose.
Now that you know how the trick is done watch the video again and note the use of odd numbers
