We all have things from the past that we miss and would love to do or have again or things we hated that we're glad no longer exist. Take this little survey and share some "oh yeah, remember that?" moments...
1) A type of candy you enjoyed as a child that you can't get anymore.
2) An attraction or place you used to visit when you were a kid that no longer exits.
3) A home-made food item your Mother or Grandmother used to make that you miss.
4) A music group you'd love to go back in time to hear perform.
5) A present you received years ago that you'll never forget (either because it was wonderful or awful).
6) A comedian you loved that is no longer with us today.
7) Something you had to do when you were young that you hated and no longer have to do as an adult.
8) A little detail you'll never forget about an important day in your past.
9) A game or toy you loved when you were young.
10) A comic book you used to love when you were a kid.
11) A television show you wish you could see again.
12) Something about puberty you hated.
13) Something that terrified you as a child.
14) Something you wished you learned to do but never did.
15) A style you wore & loved but is no longer fashionable today.

5) A present you received years ago that you'll never forget (either because it was wonderful or awful).
Little turtles in a bowl with a palm tree umbrella & colored pebbles. I got this for Christmas when I was six - I loved those turtles!
6) A comedian you loved that is no longer with us today.
This is a tough one - so many good ones are gone - I'll choose two, Male: Rodney Dangerfield, Female: Gilda Radner
7) Something you had to do when you were young that you hated and no longer have to do as an adult.
Share a room with my brother!
8) A little detail you'll never forget about an important day in your past.
A little pink & white corsage with sugar cubes being pinned on my shirt on my birthday when I was a little girl. I felt so grown up & special that day. Believe it or not I still have that corsage!

1) A type of candy you enjoyed as a child that you can't get anymore. I know this isn't a candy but I really miss those real big Ring-Dings. They taste so much better than the tiny ones they sell today
2) An attraction or place you used to visit when you were a kid that no longer exits. The roller skating arena with the "old" woman that used to play the organ. Oh!...and those great French fries they sold there cooked in lard...Mmmmmm.
3) A home-made food item your Mother or Grandmother used to make that you miss. My mother used to make the best sandwiches on the planet. They looked so simple but I could never figure out how she made them taste so darn good!
4) A music group you'd love to go back in time to hear perform. The Ozark Mountain Daredevils
5) A present you received years ago that you'll never forget (either because it was wonderful or awful). I'll never forget the James Bond 007 car with the bullet shield that would pop up behind the rear window and the retractable roof with the passenger ejector seat and the machine guns that popped out from in the front. It was all metal! What a car!....until the kid next door stole it and flattened it with a hammer.
6) A comedian you loved that is no longer with us today. Rodney Dangerfield
7) Something you had to do when you were young that you hated and no longer have to do as an adult. Homework from school - HATED IT!!!!
8) A little detail you'll never forget about an important day in your past. My grandfather died when I was only about 2 years old but I never forgot him. I would try to run past him but he'd catch me and tickle me until I couldn't breathe any more! I hated going there because of that.
9) A game or toy you loved when you were young. (see answer #5)
10) A comic book you used to love when you were a kid. I never read one comic book. I was in the basement inventing things
11) A television show you wish you could see again. Get Smart
12) Something about puberty you hated. Sitting in class when the teacher asked me to do a math problem on the board. I didn't want to stand up because I had been staring a pretty girl and "shwing!" He told me he'd give me an "F" if I didn't go to the chalk board. I said,"I'll take the "F". How embarrasking (Popeye quote).
13) Something that terrified you as a child. Our family used to rent a cottage near a lake for vacation. I caught a snapping turtle while fishing. I had never seen one before until I dropped it on the dock and it was running all around me and my siblings snapping its jaw and hissing at us. It scared the crap out of me!! My screaming sisters made it seem all the more horrifying!
14) Something you wished you learned to do but never did. The doctor told my mother that teaching French to the family would only confuse my deaf sister. She never taught us to speak French. Years later she my sister had a deaf friend who could speak French or English...go figure
15) A style you wore & loved but is no longer fashionable today. I had high platform shoes that every one called "Elton John shoes" because of the movie "Tommy" and I wore long sleeve shirts with the puffy sleeves like Tom Jones wore and bell bottom pants.

TruePatriot's Memories 1) A type of candy you enjoyed as a child that you can't get anymore.
2) An attraction or place you used to visit when you were a kid that no longer exits.
Bridgeport This is picture of a covered bridge that I loved visiting in California. It still 'exists' but not really. When I visited it it was really only visited by locals. People would pan for gold, fish, and swim. The water was quite cold but we used to skinny dip there. We'd party there in the summer by tapping a quarter keg and just throwing it in the water. A full quarter keg floats. We would simply swim up to the keg and drink from the tap. I visited it a while back and the bridge is all refurbished and there are historical markers and of course park rangers, fees, and tourists. The picture above is how I remember it when I was younger. I guess I shouldn't feel sad. But I did.
