A Smiley Story Let's see how many emoticons we can tie into a member created tale. Each time you post you must add to the story in a way that can be represented by an emoticon. The emoticon can be one found here at the Library or from elsewhere but should be similar in style to the emoticons here at the Library. Do not use an emoticon that has already be used. |

Once upon a time... There was a Smiley who loved to go to the library and read books  . He also loved to use the free computers to post at Our Community Library  . He often stayed up so late at night that he ended up drinking many cups of coffee  . One day while thinking about all the beautiful lady members at Our Community Library  . He came up with a crazy  but exciting idea  "What if..." |

What if I tried do do some of things I've read about in the Library?
"Why, I could be Super Teddy!"
"Or Zorro!
So Smiley grabbed some lunch and one of the books from the collections.
After a several bites of pizza and with few pages turned Smiley decided that he liked to eat food.
Perhaps he should try being a cook.
So he went to Recipe10 to get some ideas.
He learned how to flip pancakes.
And flip burgers.
And how not to eat spaghetti.
He learned how to use chopsticks.
And how to blow a bubble with gum.
Unfortunately after the members of the Library showed up it became nothing but a big food fight.
He got really sick too.
The next morning after cleaning up the mess...

 after he had the chips he got sick again and finally decided to go to the doctor  the doctor didn't know what was wrong with him so he did some tests  and found out that........

He was having an allergic reaction to something he ate which was causing him to break out in horrible, red, itchie hives...
The doctor called for the nurse to give him an injection...
in his glutius maximus...
which hurt like heck ...
and brought tears to the poor smilie's eyes...
But he left in better shape than he arrived. When he got home...

When he got home .......He saw that the basketball game was on  but he couldn't watch it because he got a very important phone call  from his wife saying the their son was going into the military  he did not like that AT ALL !!  He told him to play football instead  ......The son was so upset he ........ |

...went to a bar called O'Malleys where he tied one on..
A punk came in and took the bar stool next to his...
They got to talking and the boy told the punk he was really mad at his parents for interfering with his dream to become a soldier...
The punk said your folks should be glad they've got someone like you for a son - my parents kicked me out. And then the boy, who was as drunk as a skunk, got a devilish idea...
He made his way down to the local tattoo & piercing parlor and said give me the works. The owner saw dollar signs and gladly ushered him in...
When the boy arrived home later that evening this is how he looked...
His father did a double take not believing this was his clean cut, sensible son...
and then...

Smiley was horrified at first... :-X Then he realized that his son would have a hard time in the military with all that hardware and started laughing uncontrollably...  In fact he got his camera out and took some pictures of his son... :o Then he shared them with his friends by posting them at Our Community Library...  And calling everyone he knew and told them to visit the Library...  His son was so embarrassed...  He needed to find a real career so he... |

Removed all the piercings and went back to college & got his Masters Degree...
He got a job teaching...
But he found out he wasn't cut out for working with kids so he ran for a position on the City Council...
Unfortunately, his opponent won by a landslide and he had to concede...
Next he took up sculpting hoping to make a living selling his artwork...
He did fairly well and was able to save up enough to put his next plan in motion. He proposed to his childhood sweetheart...
She accepted his proposal joyfully...
This made him very happy so he...

Married her...  He looked very sharp all dressed up...  And his new wife loved the stone he got her...  Smiley was soo happy he started to cry... Six months later... |

Smiley saw his wife knitting something that looked like a little blue bootie and asked who was she making that for. "It's for our son." she replied with a twinkle in her eyes.
