True Patriot: I paid the money. Seems that with these hornets you get stung one way or another. Aug 21, 2019 6:41:12 GMT -5

Endo: So...you wanna borrow $200? Aug 19, 2019 21:08:01 GMT -5

True Patriot: $200 to remove an insect nest. They are very aggressive, especially in the fall. They have a tooth for digging that they bury into the skin and will continue to inject poison until removed. The head does not detach with the body. Stinger is 10mm long. Aug 19, 2019 18:47:37 GMT -5

Endo: Are the hornets aggressive? I'd have a rough time with angry 2 inch hornets, but that's just me. Aug 19, 2019 18:16:28 GMT -5

True Patriot: Discovered suzumebachi (world's largest hornet) nest in the garden yesterday. Can be as large as 2" and thick as a dime. The venom from just a few kills humans each year. In remote areas, their larvae are considered a delicacy. I'll try to post a video. Aug 17, 2019 17:12:44 GMT -5

True Patriot: Finished climbing Mt Fuji, enjoyed a beautiful onsen and met a friend at his izakaya here in Tokyo. Long day! Had a special shellfish that is only available for one month each year. 4 am to 11 pm. I'm a tired but lucky man. Aug 8, 2019 18:38:17 GMT -5

True Patriot: One of my best memories is visiting the Yamazaki Distillery with my saké friends as the guest of the General Manager of Quality Control and sharing an intimate dinner with him later that evening. Total Japanese booze geekdom. Aug 3, 2019 16:44:23 GMT -5 *

True Patriot: I have Japanese saké friends and we visit breweries and izakaya when I'm here. I know quite a few toji (brewers) and owners. I've been so lucky to have some wonderful experiences. I wish I could share them more openly online. Aug 3, 2019 16:20:18 GMT -5

Endo: I only know anything about Japanese liquor because we had a sales rep from Japan at our store and he would tell us all about them. We carried a bunch of Sake and Japanese whiskies and Sapporo beer. Aug 2, 2019 17:12:48 GMT -5

True Patriot: I'm a bit of a nerd about Japanese beverages. It tasted like an old-world Italian liqueur/aperitif, medicinal but sweet like a slightly bitter cherry coke with anise and citrus flavours. Very unique. There is a danger that some poisons can remain. Jul 30, 2019 20:33:55 GMT -5

True Patriot: Actually, it is made from a uniquely Okinawan distilled spirit called awamori which is made using long-grained Indica/Thai rice and black koji-kin (saké traditionally uses Japonaise rice and yellow koji-kin) It was infused with herbs and botanicals. Jul 30, 2019 20:26:44 GMT -5

True Patriot: Had a herb and botanical infused 'habushu' for the first time in a very traditional izakaya in Kyoto. I enjoyed it. Jul 30, 2019 16:15:52 GMT -5 *

Ann: Thanks for that, Foxy. Since the series didn’t last long, most objects powers were unknown. The key would have been nice to have but then you’d have so many people trying to get it off of you. Jul 24, 2019 15:20:17 GMT -5
